having a bit of trouble unbranding the install on my site.

have set branding option to "No Branding" and also tried to click the "Check Unbranding" option.  When I do the check unbranding I just get a page which returns the HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.

The path returning this error is  ... "http://*mydomain*/modules/mod_mh2teamspeak/mod_mh2teamspeak/mh2_tsdescription.php?unbrandcheck=1"

any help much appreciated ! cheers!

The reason you are receiving that is because your DNS Zone entry from your website does not allow connection via universalxtreme.net, it seems to require a www in front. 

That would not be a huge issues except for the fact that your Joomla settings are probably not including the www and therefore it is giving you the error.

My suggestion would be to contact your host and tell them that the Zone file for your site is not properly set up.

You can tell them that it should include the following:
An A Record  of          ( universalxtreme.net.   14400 IN A 203.63.244.58)
A CNAME Record Of   ( www 14400 IN CNAME universalxtreme.net.)

Once that is complete, it should start working with no issues.

hi Mick, thanks for the reply.

I manage my own DNS in this case.  I had two A records 1 for universalxtreme.net and 1 for www,  I changed the www to a CNAME record as suggested and for good measure I included both the www.universalxtreme.net and universalxtreme.net in the http headers for the site ( IIS )

I waited out the TTL and tried again.  The module works fine in every respect, except for the branding option still.

can you make any other suggestions please Smiley

If you could put together a testing site for me on your IIS box, I will run some tests to try and figure out what is happening.

Please forward me testing site admin information (Can be a sub domain) and the FTP information.  You can PM me the info.

Hi ! I've got a similar problem here.

I donated to mh2 2 months ago (2008/10/17), Transaction n?2U314529DW157583Y.

This piece of software is great, except I just can't unbrand it. When I'm on that page :
http://*mydomain*/modules/mod_mh2teamspeak/mod_mh2teamspeak/mh2_tsdescription.php?unbrandcheck=1
the webpage remains blank and nothing happens.

My DNSs seem to be correctly set up, and my directory is chmoded to 777.

What should I do ?

I do not seem to be able to replicate this.
Please make sure the following directories are set to 755 and retry:
/modules/mod_mh2teamspeak
/modules/mod_mh2teamspeak/mod_mh2teamspeak

Please let me know.

Thanks for your quick answer  Smiley

I can now certify all these folders (and also the other ones) are set to 755, and I still get a blank page while clicking "Check upgrade" or "Check unbranding". BUT when I click "Donate to MH2", it still sends me to paypal.

I've also tried changing my template, opening directly mh2_tsdescription.php?unbrandcheck=1 out of the admin panel, and other things but I still have this annoying blank page  Cry

Hope you'll be able to help me.

edit : just tried with IE7 instead of FF, but still the same  Roll Eyes
