1. Thank you

I'm putting together a small guild site and I've just added your shoutbox.
But I can't make it fit in with the page style  Sad.
Specifically - the 3px black border on #mh2marqueecontainer looks like an outcast on the site (I need it to be of a light-pastel-blue color, 1px).
Also, I've set the width of the module to 173 px, so it fits the layout.
Since the same width is also applied to the marquee element divs, the last letter on one line can get into the 3px border - so it is not visible anymore. Can you make the marquee elements a bit narrower than master container (-border px- 2px padding).
Best would be an editable .css for style, but adding the border setting to settings would be imba too.

Thx.

Version 1.12 is out included the request for border configuration.
Not sure if this is exactly what you were looking for ... give it a try.

YES!  Grin
TY for the border setting.

The only problem remaining is the text cutoff (component width set to 176px)

Smiley ofc!

The shoutbox is available only to registered users though.
It would be imba if you would visit.

CSS issues are happening because of your .leftcol/.rightcol CSS directives.

May want to look at those.  I am not sure if you are assigning them to the modules as well, but it thinks it has the 186px that you have assigned to those.

Thank you for taking a look.
From what I can see, the width is determined by the inline defined css style for #mh2vmarquee class, which is 176px.
With the padding, the moving divs go beyond but under the surrounding div, so the inside text gets cut (but only on lines where words forming a line almost exactly match the max width.
In IE, the word braking is a bit broken, so this occurs a lot more frequently.

If you are using firefox, there is an add on called firebug that is spectacular.  It shows the your template seems to be overriding the module with the 186 width under leftcol.

Also, the word breaking is subject to that as well, and the breaking works completely different on IE than FF.

I've used Firebug now, thx.

I am totally new with this, so I could be reading this totally wrong - but I think the inline style is the one being accepted.

It is actually on the mh2wrapline that is where the issue is.  I think it is because the template CSS does not specify leftcol as div.leftcol.

I have attempted some changes that I would like to check out using your template.  We can do this one of two ways, if you want to ship me your template and I can run some tests here, or if you can give me an FTP to your server I can do it that way.

If you select the FTP and you are worried about the access, all I would need is access to  /components/com_mh2shoutbox.

Let me know -- you can PM me.

Thank you for access to your site.  I added a more specific CSS entry to the component and it seems to have taken care of the issues on your site.

I included the fix into version 1.14 of the Shoutbox.
