We have a clan site and the only TS module that satisfies our needs would be yours. I'm not new to Joomla or variables but for some reason I cant get this module to work and we really need it.

Site: www.theclanomg.com

» Perform UDP test on port number 19004
» Perform TCP test on port number 51234
» Perform HTTP test on port number 14534

All came back on the TS test but It won't shake hands, nor can it display channels. Now I'm thinking thats because the server has a password.
The password was supplied in the control pannel of the module and it still won't work. It still says the TS server is off line and that is not the case.

I've checks prior to posting that the appropriate ports were open and they are. I can see all the work you've put into this module and appreciate it all but a little more documentation is needed, would you please help us.

I just wanted anyone who came by this post to know what turned out to be the issue with the module because I'm sure many will be effected.

But first I want you ALL to know this module works perfectly, I've seen it! Mick the writer of the module came by our teamspeak and tested for all of us to see. He not only tried to get it to work but he actually made a long distance call to our host to get the UPD port open on our behalf. Turned out Hostmonster as a company has a policy of not opening ports unless you pay them money. We found out today that it would be a $60 set up fee to do it. Basically a whole year worth of hosting.

OMG is a gaming clan thats part of a much bigger clan with over 300 members. I've been gaming for 20 years and I have NEVER, EVER seen someone stand behind their coding in such a way that Mick has. I have contact with most game publishers, I've beta tested over 60 games. But I've never seen someone as personable and supportive when it came to their product. And that's amplified because he never charge the community a dime for his work.

I just think everyone on the Vbulletin and Joomla community should know what kind of person that's behind this module. If there is a award for servicing their module I would like to nominate Mick and if there isn't one there should be.

Thank you for the kind words.  I am happy to help try to get the module working in other environments.  It is a shame that some hosts are resistant to opening an outgoing port whether it be a lack of knowledge about how or why or just because they erroneously see it as a security risk.

I certainly hope that some of the resolutions we discussed will allow you to utilize my product.  If there is anything else you need ... let me know.

You deserve it. The fellas were blown away by you on TS after you left. Not common you talk to someone that knows what the hell they're talking about on a direct issue. We have also decided to go with a package from your hosting service. I'll be contacting you in a few days bro thanks for the help.

Here's a plug for ya: FOR ALL GAMERS! it seems many host want to restrict ports that are needed to display Teamspeak and other modules that need various ports open. Mick has no problems opening the needed ports for you guys. He will either beat or match any price, and by going with his service I just got 200g over my present host. If your looking for a GAMERS HOST, contact him.

PS we linked your site.
