I have used you TS module with 1.13 and I am in the process of getting a site going with 1.15.

I can install the module fine and see it in the backend but when I try the front it will give me error.

<div class="module
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get() in /home/girth/public_html/test/templates/system/html/modules.php on line 82

I also tried something else and seemed I got just a bad link also in the module pointing to the mod folder instead of mod_mh2teamspeak folder but I could not duplicate that again after I did it the one time.

I am limited since the script is encrypted and my mental limitations.  Grin

There have been some serious changes in the 1.5 version of Joomla and I am sorry to say that I have decided not to delve down that path.  The licensing restrictions on privately developed code has hindered many people from developing for Joomla and instead staying with Mambo.

I may at some point decide to work with J-1.5, but at this time I do not have any plans to move in that direction.

Well, if your not going to Update this for joomla 1.5.. im sure someone else will write one. There's been a few changes in Joomla , but none in license of modules. Yep, joomla still free m8, so I will start writing my own I suppose..Oh, and if you're using an old mambo, joomla version, be advised that your WEBHOST will be extremely vulnerable to hacking. I had 1.1.4 and my site was brought down last last week, I was informed to upgrade for security reasons or else the account would be frozen. My site sits without Teamspeak and Ventrilo modules now, so get to work.

To address your first comment regarding licensing:
As some of you might know, there have recently been some changes on part of the Joomla! project in how they interpret the license their software is under. Namely, while the project remains under the exact same license (the GPL), they are now interpreting this license in its strictest sense. In addition, the project has announced that this change in interpretation is retroactive and applies to all previous versions of their software.

As a result of this change of direction, only GPL-licensed software can legally be distributed and used inside the Joomla software. While we regret and are saddened by this development, we respect Joomla?s position on their software license.
(Thank you Simple Machines for doing the work of communications with the Joomla Team)

Under the GPL, the MH2 components and modules fall under this restriction:
(Taken from http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/gpl-faq.html#GPLAndPlugins)

It depends on how the program invokes its plug-ins. If the program uses fork and exec to invoke plug-ins, then the plug-ins are separate programs, so the license for the main program makes no requirements for them.

If the program dynamically links plug-ins, and they make function calls to each other and share data structures, we believe they form a single program, which must be treated as an extension of both the main program and the plug-ins. This means the plug-ins must be released under the GPL or a GPL-compatible free software license, and that the terms of the GPL must be followed when those plug-ins are distributed.

If the program dynamically links plug-ins, but the communication between them is limited to invoking the `main' function of the plug-in with some options and waiting for it to return, that is a borderline case.

I am somewhat bothered by your security statements:
Mambo and Joomla are not the cause of your incident with hackers.  All software has its own vulnerabilities that can be exploited.  More than likely it was not the CMS but an add-on that you installed.

The web hosting companies that do not take the initiative to protect their web boxes are always going to be vulnerable to hacks.  There are many utilities for cPanel that shut down a lot of the root kits, SQL injection, and a variety of hacks that are used.  Modsecurity, phpsuexec and suexec to name a few.

From experience, a company that I work for takes our web server security very serious and we insure that our clients are protected.  Over the course of the past two years we have had 0 hacking incidents.  Our clients use everything from static HTML to a variety of PHP scripting products.

To make a statement such as "if you're using an old mambo, joomla version, be advised that your WEBHOST will be extremely vulnerable to hacking" is outrageous and somewhat Chicken little, end of the world nonsense; and just plain wrong!  FYI: There are already known SQL injection methods for J-1.5.

MH2 developing for Joomla 1.5:
I do appreciate all the people that find MH2 products to be useful and thank everyone for the wonderful comments.  That being said, the development route chosen by MH2 is the choice of MH2; nobody is paying to have these products written.  I do my best to assist people with issues that arise, but I will not be told (especially on my own site) which software I have to write --- for free.

Thank you for your comments and I wish you luck in your writing of your own products.
