I have done a major upgrade to both the Teamspeak and Ventrilo modules.

New features:
? No more tables!! All Tableless design
? Collapsible Channels
? Hide Empty Channels
? Hide Protected Channels

More configuration options!

When I try to install the TeamSpeak mod, J15mod_mh2teamspeak.zip, in Joomla 1.5 I get this error:

Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

Do you have to install the file manually or is there something I need to do differently?  I know I am a noob, but any help would be appreciated =)

You probably need to enable legacy mode on J15.
Under Extensions>Plug-in Manager

I did enable that.  Is there something specific in the installer that is corrupt possibly?  I have installed several other mods so far without problems, but this is one that I reeaaaallly want to work...lol!

I'm no beginner and I get exactly the same,
I'm using joomla 1.5.7 , what ever I do it has the same message, I installed several
modules no problem, I tried on a fresh copy of joomla same.



I hope you find a solution.... I like this pugin Wink

Not sure why you are getting that, I installed it on a test site just fine. 

I will do a fresh install of 1.57 and see what we can get.

Awesome.  Thanx for checking into this =)  I think it has something to do with the mod_mh2teamspeak.xml file.  I think that is what the installer reads from.

I tried installing the one you sent me in email and I get the same error.  If you installed it successfully it must be something on my end =(  Thank you for all your help. 

If someone else has the same error and figured out how to fix it please post here =)

Not sure what is going on, but if you can pm me some contact information and possibly back end access -- I will try to determine what is happening. 

I just installed it with no issues on a 1.57 install.

After working on bdgthehammer's system, I found the one piece that Joomla did not like in the XML file.

No matter the encoding method used, one specific character that I used for separation was causing the issue:
The character in question: ?
I changed it to a "-" and everything is good now.  I reuploaded the TS and VENT modules.

ARGH!!! I am a pirate now!

Awesome!  Thanx for all your help.  I didn't want to be a pain but I figured you spent a loooottt of time working on this and wanted to make sure everyone could use it.  Thanx for all your help and now I can't wait to try out your treasury mod.  If there is anything I can do for ya please let me know.  You da man baby...wOOt!

Did you use the Joomla install package?  There is a separate one specifically for Joomla 1.5
